Karen Bussey, ATP, CRTS
Karen has 25 years of experience in home healthcare and medical billing and has been practicing as an ATP for the last 10 years. What is an ATP, you ask? An Assistive Technology Professional analyzes the needs of individuals with disabilities, assists in the selection of appropriate assistive technology for those needs and provides training in the use of selected device(s) to the individual and/or their caretakers. Karen is a certified ATP through RESNA, the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America. As an ATP, Karen concentrates on those individuals with mobility needs and selecting the appropriate wheelchairs and powerchairs. She is also certified in Pindot Custom Molding ContourU Seating and Ride Designs Custom Seating.
As an ATP on staff at Glasgow Prescription Center, Karen takes care of the entire process in acquiring assistive technology devices for her clients. From the initial order, scheduling evaluations with physical therapists, obtaining authorizations from insurance, billing, delivery and final fit of the equipment, Karen sees it through. If you have mobility needs, contact Karen to get on your way to better living.
